Coming attractions:

  • Second Friday of every month at 5pm, April through September, corner of State and N. University: Bicycle Commuting Workshops: Learn how to ride safely and efficiently in urban traffic, how to carry loads home from the grocery store on your bike, and how to keep your bike in good working order. Free tuneups!
  • Critical Mass Rides: the last friday of every month, meet at 4:30 at North University and State for a celebratory ride through Ann Arbor. Ride responsibly and cooperatively with the rush-hour traffic, and show the world that bikes are sexy, and bikes are fun....
  • Other activities to be announced. Watch this space for details!

Our bike commuting workshops cover bike maintenance, traffic skills, how to carry loads on a bike, and why you'd want to use a bike for transportation in the first place. Also, we offer free bike tune-ups--we can't do everything, but bring your bike and find out: if it's simple, we can probably fix it on the spot, and if it's not, then we can give you some idea what needs to be done. The workshop itself lasts about an hour; we'll hang around as long as necessary afterwards for tune-ups and questions.
